Fawn Alleyne, Female Voiceover Artist, Vocal Age Range 28-45

Neutral American Midwestern Accent - Michigan Native

Passionate, honest, caring, techie, sporty, adventurous, fun, quirky,

Fawn has been helping brands tell their story for over 20 years. Working out of her professional home recording studio, Fawn records compelling voiceovers for radio and television commercials, marketing, explainer and eLearning videos as well as audiobooks. She has over 20 years of professional experience in audio and video technical production. Her technical aptitude is matched by her business acumen. She prides herself on being pleasant to work with and delivering hassle free voiceover production services.

Fawn transitioned from primarily working in video production to voiceover in 2014. Already an expert in corporate learning and online marketing voiceovers, she expanded into the commercial genre. Fawn has a bright relatable signature voice. She knows too much to sound like a teenager, but way too vibrant to sound like a senior. You can almost hear the twinkle in her eye as she brings scripts to life with her insightful story telling ability.

In November 2018 Fawn built a professional home voiceover booth with exceptional acoustics and sound quality. Her complete behind the scenes look at the process is an excellent resource for other voiceover artists. In October 2020 Fawn moved to the mountains north of Montreal to a home where she built a bigger and quieter recording space with a great view. A virtual tour of her audio video production studio is coming soon.

Fawn is able to accommodate client directed sessions through SOURCE-CONNECT, Skype, FaceTime or Zoom. On the iMac she uses Logic Pro X. Her booth features the Neumann TLM 103 microphone.

Despite dreaming of a career as a voiceover artist, after graduating from Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts in 1998, Fawn initially worked in video production. Over the years she served in the role of producer, director, director of photography and editor on training and marketing videos for the Detroit automotive, recreational and banking industries. This experience gave Fawn the opportunity to develop extensive technical expertise and industry knowledge. All those years selecting and directing voiceover talent for her video productions contribute to Fawn’s “no diva, no drama” approach to agent and client relationships.

While in the booth, Fawn draws on her experience working on the other side of the glass to understand and meet the needs of clients, producers, casting directors and engineers.  Her years as a video editor and cinematographer have given her a deep technical skill set enabling her to successfully navigate the equipment and technology necessary to produce high quality recordings.

Fawn also spent time volunteering in the community. Her volunteer work involved hurricane re-construction, public speaking, mentoring and teaching. Her volunteer work eventually led her to attain national certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf. Fawn’s voice has made the most difference in her work as a sign language interpreter, as her voice allows deaf people to be heard by the mainstream community…and they are worth listening too. Her professional and community work provide a rich backdrop of interactions and experiences that fortify her ability to bring characters to life.

On a personal note, Fawn enjoys spending time with family, especially outdoors. She loves playing basketball and misses her ballin’ buddies in Detroit. She takes a light-hearted approach to life and is a determined optimist. If you ever get a chance to go camping with her your stomach will ache with laughter as you listen to her well orchestrated story telling of past adventures. The good times you’ll have will only be eclipsed by the story she’ll tell later.
